The Huckleberry Story
Huckleberry Music grew from founder Sue’s early experience teaching piano and her interest in helping students build a lasting understanding of music. Over more than 15 years of teaching, she developed and refined a structured approach that now guides how lessons are planned across the school.
Today, Huckleberry Music’s piano teachers in Singapore support students at different stages, from beginners learning foundational skills to more experienced learners preparing for exams and performances. Teachers work within the school’s teaching framework while adjusting lesson pacing and guidance to suit each student’s progress and learning needs.

Our piano teachers in Singapore follow a structured teaching framework that provides a consistent standard of guidance across every lesson. This ensures students receive clear progression, well-planned learning objectives and support that builds on what they have learnt previously.
While the overall framework remains consistent, each teacher adapts their teaching approach to suit the student’s ability, learning pace and individual goals. This gives adult learners the reassurance of a structured programme while still allowing space for personalised guidance.
Our teachers also bring formal qualifications, practical teaching experience, and training in piano pedagogy to their lessons. They work with children, teenagers, and adults across different ability levels, from complete beginners to students preparing for graded examinations or performance goals. Depending on the learner, teachers may adjust the pace, explanations, repertoire, and practice focus while keeping the overall progression clear and structured.
